Rule # 1Why do we Race Radio Control Vehicles?
FUN
Rule # 2
No Over Aggressive Racing
Equals = Consistent RC Car Bashing.
Written by David Noland owner of Lakeport Hobbies
The definition of Over Aggressive Racing is a topic that everyone could weigh in on.
Different personalities, racing styles, and racing skill levels will bring a multitude of different opinions on this topic.
Although the opinions of our paying customers are important Lakeport Hobbies Raceway has adopted rules years ago and has not emphasized or consistently enforced the rule to keep in check the wave of Over Aggressive Racing.
When rule # 2 is not enforced rule # 1 is no longer able to be achieved.
Over Aggressive Racing is one that has never been enforced using consequences.
In fairness, and to not single any one person out, this news article will not be using names.
Lakeport Hobbies Raceway will now be enforcing with consequences
Over Aggressive Racing.
When using the words Over Aggressive Racing most will lean towards concentrating on only one word.
Aggressive.
Keep in mind that all three words used together are being used to create and make clear the simple description of Consistent RC Car Bashing.
Equals
OVER AGGRESSIVE RACING
I own Lakeport Hobbies and Lakeport Hobbies Raceway. Over the years I have had this issue raise it’s head from the slow progression of not standing on a solid enforced rule.
As the owner and track director I have had to at times on a handful of issues hold ground and upset a few so as to keep harmony amongst the majority of our RC Racers.
The following is now Adopted as an Absolute at:
Lakeport Hobbies Raceway.
What is the description of
OVER AGGRESSIVE RACING?
Simple!
You are Driving Over Your Ability
or
You are using, Get Out of My Way Racing Tactics.
In other words Pushing and Prodding.
Neither will be accepted any longer
Some leniency is used in the Novice (beginners) Class yet even in this class we expect good sportsmanship.
If you are consistently making mistakes and running into other racers you are driving one of two ways.
Driving Over Your Ability (or) using Get Out of My Way Racing Tactics.
After reaching intermediate (sportsman) or running in expert (pro) Classes we will NO Longer be accepting Excuses for Consistent Car Bashing.
Some call these Consistent mistakes.
They Are Not!
“SLOW DOWN OR STOP PUSHING”
Period
Anyone who is offended by our newly adopted rules may choose to simply not be a part of our RC Racing Program.
Lakeport Hobbies Raceway will no longer accept
OVER AGGRESSIVE RACING
PERIOD
Again let me make it clear we are not talking about the occasional mistakes that are made.
Occasional mistakes are unavoidable.
Consistent Overly Aggressive Racing is totally avoidable.
Having a bad race day can happen for a number of reasons. Legitimate and frustrating moments we all have felt.
“This is part of the game”
Engaging in arguments over what constitutes a bad or good race day is futile because there are as many reasons to have a bad race day as there are to have a good race day.
Both at the end of the day are still:
FUN
Now with that said.
Let me make this very clear!!
Overly Aggressive racing will Not Be tolerated any longer.
“No Exceptions”
Although you are welcome to your opinions this old and original rule will be
Strictly Enforced.
OVER AGGRESSIVE RACING
For those who continue an overly aggressive racing standard
The Following consequences will apply.
First warning will be
