Hey, it was another great lesson, another great night! Dave Nolan is really an exceptional teacher. Tonight we were joined by a new student Douglass. He picked it up much faster than I originally did and honestly, when the four of us were working on the Abakuah, it truly started to sing. But then, for the first time, we got into a new rhythm called a Yanvalou. It’s from Haiti supposedly. Anyway, Dave N. played it for us on his Garage Band program and it rocks. We played around with it a little bit and I can already see the potential. We just a need a few more dedicated people to join the classes. Interested?
